It has been disgustingly long since my last update! Have been really caught up with a few things lately and everytime I had the time to write, I somehow didn't have the mood. Nonetheless, here's a very quick and brief post on what has been going on recently:

1. Three major things related to my career are underway; GRE(General paper and the Physics paper) and interview. However, due to the timing clash between one of my GRE papers and my interview, I had to postpone my GRE to another day.

2. Recently reformatted my computer, photos are posted without any watermarks. The sad thing is, I don't remember which font did I use for my watermark. Oh well, not that my pictures are that amazingly good anyway.

3. Wei Ting came to our house to cook and hang out with us last weekend. One of the best dinner we've ever had in our house!!

She made us Aglio Oglio pasta among other things!! Everything tasted amazing! Speaking of cooking, when I have more time, I will upload more amazing food that Yok Yin cooked for us at home!
Sean is very buffed now, partly due to my lens here.

4. Attended the NTU Hall Closing this year. Got to watch some very fascinating dances. It was so good that I had to walk around the auditorium searching for my jaw after the show!! Okay, maybe not that extreme, but there were really some high level display of dance performances. My favourite performances are Hall 1 and Hall 16, and since I'm loving their dances so much, I guess I'll share it here:

Hall 1's performance. Song used was "For the First Time" by The Script.

Hall 16's performance. Personally, I prefer this performance, even though they're just the 1st runner up(Hall 1 was the champion). I enjoy the variety of dances they have and they do have a cuter female lead =P. However, the emotional impact of Hall 1's performance was really really strong too.

To end this post, here's a quote that I learned from a conference that I am attending for these 3 days(Monday till Wednesday):

So very true, don't you think? And the more ironic part is, Professor van der Leeuw is an archeologist/historian.

Our Chinese New Year celebration did not just stop the moment we leave our hometown. After all, according to tradition, Chinese New Year lasts for 15 days. Plus, we're still in the holiday mood. Just yesterday, we gathered a few of our friends in Singapore for a small steamboat dinner.

It was a nice gathering. And I actually thought that my Chinese New Year was turning for the better, until. . . .

. . . this morning. What a short lived happiness! Okay, I'm not a superstitious freak or anything, checking my horoscope today was purely triggered by a notification from the app that reads something like, "Some stars are shifted today, you should check your horoscope!" And for some reason, everytime this happens, surprisingly the readings are accurate. I know because something happened right before I read this that concurs to it. If it's the other way round, where I read and something happened, then maybe it's some sort of "placebo effect" or I'm just letting my mind think in a way to fit the reading.

So the mild case of blues. It was a birthday. No, I don't hate someone that much that when it's his birthday, I'll be so sad about it. More like, it sorta kinda reminds me of something unpleasant. I wish my words will be heard? Okay, that's about what you get. Not gonna further elaborate =(

Moving on to something more delightful, we have a new game in the house, and it's currently the most played game in the house. For the past 5 days since I brought the game back from Ipoh, we have been playing it every single night! That deck of Monopoly Deal that usually keeps us entertained during our TV sessions is now collecting dust, sadly.

Mahjong!! Yup! I brought a set of mahjong back all the way from Ipoh, right after Yok Yin and Sean suggested that I do. One of the best things I brought back from Ipoh yet! And of course, we're not addicting to gambling!! It's just fun playing mahjong!
